We are changing the way to society views beardsmen by shifting beards to a more neutral to positive connotation. We post new videos every Thursday and would love your subscription. Beard on! One of my favorite styling products for the beard is the Texture Paste by Fellow Barber. I've found that this is a softer hold, and will give a nice natural look. I'll work the styling product into damp hair and blow dry into the shape I want. You'll have to excuse the video as I normally work with a mirror and was performing off muscle memory I use a similar technique when I apply texture paste to my head hair. Complete garbage only thing you should put in your beard is either beard oil that’s with fragrance if you choose but if not just some argan or coconut oil hair garbage there is no reason why a man should use a blow dryer and more then 2-3 products in your hair that’s how you know that the hair product is not for your hair if your slicking your hair any direction use a groom cream if you have thick corse hair use a pomade man 14 years cutting hair and all these hair products I see are exactly alike and just marketed to grab your money I need to save my fellow men by making videos to show you the truth from a experienced legacy barbers perspective smh

Punctuation marks...... USE THEM!
Zaman Khan (1 year ago)
What a great advise. I have tried numerous products and they all are pretty much same. The only difference is the price change lol. I do try different products but only for reviewing it on my channel.

Can you use hair texturizer on your beard?
G Ks (2 years ago)
I'm losing my hair. I wish I had hair like yours. No matter how you toss it around, it looks good and thick
G Ks (2 years ago)
+Marian Chester thanks, i will try it.
Marian Chester (2 years ago)
Alopexy 5% or 2%. If you are a man you need 5% ..2% is for women . I live in Romania so here i can find it in every farmacy...
G Ks (2 years ago)
+Marian Chester what is the product's name?
Marian Chester (2 years ago)
Alopexy 5% .. the only treatment that will work. first step is to cu your hair super short secobd step is to stop washing your hair too often ( maximum 2 times per week) and when you wash it you don't use your finger nails but the finger tips. last step: start using the product . 2 times per day, morning and before bedtime. trust me it's the only product that works ..i used to spend a lot of money to realize that this brought back my hair...you have to use it all your life though..but worth it :p
bil blab (2 years ago)
how long have you been growing your hair my viking mate?
BLVCK ARROW (2 years ago)
Dude, your beard !!! I love it
Amine Benkada (3 years ago)
can i use the hair dryer every day ??
Beardbrand (3 years ago)
+Amine Benkada You can, but I'd recommend using it on a medium to low setting on the speed, and a warm or cool setting on the heat. You don't want to fry your hair and make it brittle! -Zach
Nirav Surati (3 years ago)
I'm worried about the ingredients. Are any of the ingredients harmful to hair and/or dry it out?
Nirav Surati (3 years ago)
+Beardbrand thanks for the quick reply! ill definitely be checking it out
Beardbrand (3 years ago)
+Nirav Surati No, the ingredients in this paste aren't harmful, and it's water soluble which means you can rinse it out of your hair with just water, no soap or shampoo necessary. Definitely worth checking out! -Zach
Memphis Ace (3 years ago)
i need such product but with lemon-citrus flavour
Julian Aragon (2 years ago)

420blaze It (3 years ago)

Refugio Flores (4 years ago)
what kind of wax or paste u recommend for a mate finish ? i have one but it makes my hair really grassy
Refugio Flores (4 years ago)
i would try that clay , and can u tell me a good texture paste but one that wont make the hair oily?
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Refugio Flores Well, texture paste is good, but also any kind of clay will give you a matte look. Hanz de Fuko has a product called quicksand which is also very matte.
Alberto Bello (4 years ago)
I'm your biggest fan...great videos..!

blessen koshy (4 years ago)
Once every two weeks, I use a trimmer at the salon (trusted barber who knows my beard well) to cut off the longer hairs. Till I came across this video. Looks like I need to get a dryer with those attachments.
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+blessen koshy Dude, a blow dryer has really blow my mind to styling. It's an awesome tool and works wonders.
Jeffrey Thompson (4 years ago)
Nice! I do use this texture paste, and it def helps a lot!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Jeffrey Thompson Sweet. It's really like a soft marshmallow, isn't it? I love the texture of the paste.
Jeffrey Thompson (4 years ago)
Do you apply both beard oil and texture paste in the beard, or is it one or the other??
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Jeffrey Thompson I always start with the beard oil. The texture paste is optional, and used to keep the beard in place and under control.
Iain Graham (4 years ago)
Hey man. This was very helpful. I never would've even thought about the salt water spray that you used. Really appreciate your advice!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Iain Graham Glad to have helped out and good luck!
Wunderkinddd (4 years ago)
How do you get that hair of yours like what product did you use to get that type of soft hair or does just it come naturally to everyone's hair when it grows? I never grew my hair long before so I don't know much. would appreciate a reply
Wunderkinddd (4 years ago)
+Beardbrand Your hair is like silkyish when its long so I hope my hair turns out that way! awesome videos subd
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Wunderkinddd Ya, my hair is fine and straight to wavy. That's just the genetics of your hair and everyones is different. It's like how mine grows in dirty blond whereas someone else's will grow in black. The only way to know what your hair will be like is to grow! Good luck.
vikingivor (4 years ago)
I like your dryer with all the attachments.  What's the brand?
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+vikingivor It's a Hot Toolz brand. Got it at a local hair supply company.
Patrick-Eric Loß (4 years ago)
Fantastic video, Eric! Thanks for it!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Patrick-Eric Loß Anytime, thanks again for the comments. Keep 'em coming.
Chaderic27 (4 years ago)
Your hair looks great, I really like your hair.  But, I don't even own a hairdryer--basically because I think it's damaging to hair & dries it out.  Anyway, I'm looking for some type of product to keep the beard soft & supple.  So far I have used conditioner, shea butter, Jack Black Beard Lube (though I think this is just for shaving), Redkin Rewind 06 (a pliable product I use on my hair) & Biosilk.  The beard oils sound really messy & I don't want a beard balm that smells like something my grandfather would have used.  I want a beard like Eric Paul Leue, it's like the hair on your head, it's very straight and smooth, looks awesome.  Anyway, if anyone has any tips, please comment, the beard is new for me, had it about 5 weeks & I can't believe how many people have made positive comments.  Thank You
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+chaderic27 Dude, beard oil is what you need - it's not messy at all. Shoot us an email at [email protected] and I can get you a couple samples of it.
Arthur Curry (4 years ago)
whats the major differences between using this paste, and something like AXE messy look paste?
Jack Leahy (4 years ago)
Hey dude awesome beard and hair! How long is your hair in inches do you know? I'm growing mine out thanks :D
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Jack Leahy In this video it's probably about 5" long.
anotherabyss (4 years ago)
I know you're a proponent of beard oil, so I was wondering where in this process that fits in?  Do you apply it when the hair is wet before the styling product or after you've dried it?  Great video by the way.
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+anotherabyss Beard oil is always my first go to when hopping out of the shower. If the product is a little too stiff, I may put a little more oil in after the process; but that's not a standard practice.
Ilpo Surokivi (4 years ago)
Good video! I have already subscribed though.
Frank Wave (4 years ago)
It would be cool if you made a video about if we shaved our beards yet and if we consider ourselves a beardsman even without a beard, as well as asking people with beards, how long do they plan on having a beard and how long do they wanna grow it and then your take it on it. That would be a cool topic.
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Frank Wave I talked a little bit about that in this video: How to handle being forced to shave your beard
FoxyIsSoRaven (4 years ago)
Your hair is so nice!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+FoxyIsSoRaven Thank you! Going to get it nice and long.

Chris Shaw (4 years ago)

Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Chris Shaw I haven't - I'll need to give it a whirl.

Christian Van Ristell (4 years ago)
Now my beard is starting to get longer, it's getting curls around the cheek-area. How can I get rid of it?
Christian Van Ristell (4 years ago)
+Beardbrand Cool.
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Christian Van-Ristell Jeff's video touched base on that a little bit but I've got a straightening video in the works once I get it edited up.

rock sonny (4 years ago)
Hey man I'm 24 years old middle eastern so I have a really dry curly beard to the point that it is hard to style and it takes a lot of beard oil a lot of any product actually do u have any advice for how to style or groom this type of beards . I really don't wanna look like terrorist -_- . Have an awesome day
Joel L. Daniels (4 years ago)
Hey rock...so we kinda share the same hair gradient. what's really worked for me is just using the beard oil and going as is. our hair texture just isn't as flowy as eric's, so styling it may prove to be more of a chore than anything. i think eric brings up a great point...i do a lot of trimming and minor upkeep during the day (combing the beard, brushing the stache)...i sometimes carry my oil with me in case i feel like reapplying, especially if i'm heading out later in the evening.
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+rock sonny I think what will work best for you is to keep the beard and work on the style of your wardrobe. If you don't want to give the terrorist vibe, then step up the fashion game. We did a profile on Rameet Chawla, who is an incredible guy, but also of Indian descent. Check out this style and beard: http://www.urbanbeardsman.com/2014/02/rameet-chawla/From a grooming standpoint, I would probably focus on embracing the natural look of your beard and figure out how to keep it neat (ie trimming cheek lines and keeping the length appropriate).
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+yoav b I think I got viking in me with the blonde top and red down low. Not a lot of blond beards out there.
Blake Davis (3 years ago)
+sergio Garcia Just sea salt spray.. though I'm sure you figured that out by now 😂
yoav b (4 years ago)
Erick how come your beard color is different then your hair color on your head
csombrandon (4 years ago)
Looking good sir. Beard on!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+csombrandon Thank you & beard on indeed!
Michael Jacob (4 years ago)
Not to be rude i love this channel and all . But i say fuck all the products its a beard not beautiful women hair . Don't get me wrong keep it trimmed and nice but that as far as i think keeping your beard under control should go .
MassTraveler (4 years ago)
For some guys with a really curly full beard, like me, using a paste really helps keep it presentable.
Michael Jacob (4 years ago)
+Beardbrand Yea i get it that's fine just i find it better without products . It's all good (-: .
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Michael Jacob Not being rude. We are just providing information for those who want to go that route. Not trying to tell people they should do what we do. We get requests for a lot of different topics and try to cover them to the best of our abilities.Always looking to make the channel better, what type of things would you like to see us cover? More bearded lifestyle features? More Personal Freedom stuff? Thanks so much for your input!
nusense808 (4 years ago)
You went from a badass jack bauer to opie from SOA. Beard on playa!
nusense808 (4 years ago)
Awesome. I get compared to model Ricki Hall atleast once a week, minus the tats. I love it!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+nusense808 When I had a short beard / no beard I got the Kiefer Sutherland & Joshua Jackson comment almost daily. I can see the Opie look - definitely first time I've heard it.
mace crawford (4 years ago)
Beard and head looking awsome, think its cool u growing your hair out. Awsome video too, my question is do u recommend using them products with just starting growing the beard. I think i am getting close to two weeks, think its this coming sat. It filled in good. Now just the wait for the length. Is bioten good to take tomake the beard grow faster. I sure know it helps with the head hair. Also makes the finger nails grow, i quite fighting the nails and have some length there. But not like females nail. Well good luck withvthe growing.
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+mace crawford So, I always recommend beard oil because it's just awesome. In regards to styling products, it's more about your preferences and if you want a little more control from your beard, or if it's fairly tight as is. Same goes with mustache wax - more of a preference product.
TacticalTimmy12 (4 years ago)
Mmmm.....anus.
David Thomas (4 years ago)
just colored my beard with Just for Men, turned out pretty good, had to get rid of the gray
David Thomas (4 years ago)
+Beardbrand yeah , i'd normally let nature take its course and go gray but i was asked too, but if you go too strong it could mismatch
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
Nice. I've never tried coloring my beard, and I'd imagine it's one of those things where less is more.
Flo- Pride (4 years ago)
This is my favorite video so far! I really didn't want to trim my sides and now I know how to make it look the way I want. My question is, how much beard hair do you loose while doing that?
Flo- Pride (4 years ago)
+Beardbrand thanks Bud! That other video was great too
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Jason Naylor Throughout my entire routine - washing, conditioning, combing, brushing, I probably lose about 30 hairs. I probably lose more throughout the day by just playing with my mustache and beard. Watch my video on this topic as I talk a little more about it: Beard shedding / hair loss and what to expect
Adam Hemingway (4 years ago)
LOL it sounded like you said it smells like anus at 0:49... Beard on :)
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Adam Hemingway Hah! I try to reply to all the questions / comments. Somedays I'm better at it than others. :D
Adam Hemingway (4 years ago)
Oh my gosh! +Beardbrand replied to me! That's so awesome! I didn't really expect you to reply lol but that makes you even cooler!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
+Adam Hemingway Maybe I did.... Maybe I did.
Larry Greenberg (4 years ago)
Your head hair is looking longer than your beard hair!!!
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
Getting there! :D
Vrinder94 (4 years ago)
Nice video! Although I think your beard looked better without the product in it :)
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
Ya, grooming without a mirror in front of me is a bit of a challenge. :-\
MrPyro225 (4 years ago)
Is it normal to shed beard hair while washing? I really need to get in there and clear the dead skin but every time I try I see beard hair on my hands and I freak and stop half way. What are some tips for washing my beard?
Beardbrand (4 years ago)
That's totally normal. I did a video on that topic: Beard shedding / hair loss and what to expect
